Are you interested in playing an active role in yMAK and shaking up the museum’s everyday routine? Does the prospect of joining a network of young people, organizing events, and stimulating critical discourse within the museum appeal to you?
We’re looking for new members interested in attracting a young and diverse public to the MAK. You would be joining a network of likeminded art- and culture-loving young people between 18 and 28 years old, who meet together at events, parties, workshops, and internal discussion groups to work on creating new contexts for exchanging ideas. yMAK aims to stimulate critical discourse on cultural policy and engage young artists.
How can you apply?
This summer we’ll invite you to visit the museum free of charge. Come and take a look at the MAK and then report on what you find there. Where would you like to change the game? What would you critique, what rethink? What projects, events, and actions would you like to see implemented in the MAK?
Send an email to marketing@mak.at with the subject line Ticket and we’ll leave a ticket for you and a companion at the ticket counter. Absorb the atmosphere of the MAK and then send a few sentences to young@mak.at by 27 September telling us who you are, why you want to join us, and what you thought of the MAK. There’ll be a kick-off meet-and-greet event on 1 October at 5 pm. Looking forward to making your acquaintance!
